  • 74th Annual Memorial Day Program

    Festivities begin 10 a.m.

    Each year thousands of people attend the Memorial Day service at Loma Vista Memorial Park. Set up takes a full week, with nearly 500 volunteers ironing and putting up 3800 flags, and crosses. In addition, grave markers are swept, and crosses painted and repaired. The event started in 1939, when Fullerton’s Chapman family placed 50 flags and crosses on veterans’ graves. Now the number of deceased vets grows by hundreds each year.

  • Stained Glass Window Restoration is Complete!

    In April of 2011, we started the restoration process of the two large stained glass windows in our mausoleum.

    Constructed in 1935 the mausoleum has been a large part of history at Loma Vista Memorial Park. Over the past 77 years, the stained glass windows have seen golf balls and baseballs pass through leaving holes of various sizes. The lead which encased the stained glass and was the main support began to buckle and deteriorate. Clearly it was time to take on the project of restoration. Read more.
